Notes on adding Remote Apps to Windows Server 2012

  1. Add RDS role.
  2. Add Licensing server after editing Deployment Properties.  This step has to be done with a user that does not have Folder Redirection enabled or a firewall configuration error on the licesing server wont let the wizard finish correctly.
  3. Go to IIS and install a certificate that would be trusted by the workstations.  Bind the new certificate to the server´s websites.
  4. Create your RemoteApp collection.
  5. Go to the workstation and add the Remote App through RemoteApp connection and desktop.
